Position Overview

The role is to support Deutsche AM's Passive Asset Management expansion strategy in Australia. The selected candidate will be involved in the fund platform setup and maintenance, acting as a champion of Passive between various stakeholders within the region and globally to drive business development, nurturing strong client relationships and driving projects to enable long-term success of the ETF and Passive Mandate business in the region.

The role will be reporting to Head of Passive Management Asia Pacific functionally and to the Head of Passive Management Australia regionally.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong product skills across multiple asset classes in the Passive Asset Management space.
  • Understanding of the ETF operational ecosystem
  • Experience in the Australia ETF market, but with a broad perspective of Passive Asset Management globally.
  • Experience of working with external key stakeholders – for example custodians, brokers, distributors, regulators, stock exchanges, index providers, auditors, tax advisors, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and understanding to bring across the case strongly and build client relationships together with the various sales teams.
  • Perspectives in Strategic Beta.
  • Skillset in serving institutional clients
  • Quantitative skills to perform portfolio analysis, comparison analysis with other providers in the market, and market analysis.
  • Qualitative skills to publish thought leadership and content for clients.


EXPERIENCE
  • Degree qualified with preference in financial related discipline
  • Experience in the Australia ETF industry
