a Senior Principal Finance Advice Finance COO


We are looking for a colleague to strengthen the newly create department Planning & Advice Operations (within Group Finance at ING Bank at Head Office level). The team is responsible for supporting and advising senior management of the COO domain from a financial point of view by analyzing the cost drivers and looking at the trends. We challenge the level of ambition of the countries during the MTP process. We analyse deviation from the plan and propose corrective actions if financials not on track. The team will consist of 8 Finance professionals, all with their own expertise and generally with +5 years of experience at various levels of the organization. We need to closely work together, be flexible and agile in order to adapt to the changing environment and priorities. Ownership of responsibilities and quality control are clearly embedded within the culture of the department.

Specifically we are looking for a colleague to support the existing Finance Procurement Team. The stakeholders are Chief Procurement Heads in the countries, Procurement category owners and country CFOs.

The person needs to act as an independent strategic business partner. Advises responsible management in identifying, substantiating and designing / developing tactical and strategic financial choices.

Knowledge & Experience

  • +5 years of experience in Finance
  • Good knowledge of Procurement and sourcing

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Establish global planning and management control process and infrastructure for procured cost management (40% of total cost), supporting Category Managers and Category Buyers;
  • Develop a performance measurement model including KPI's for operational and cost efficiency for procured cost;
  • Provide analytics and insights to help identify opportunities to create value for the business (better quality, lower cost);
  • Perform benefits realization planning and monitoring for Procured cost change initiatives, supporting the Change Investment Committee.
  • Knowledge & experience: deep understanding of Procurement business and/or broad experience in financial management and decision support, and a genuine interest in predictive analytics and data/process management
  • Support the development and evaluation of business cases
  • Support in RFP and contracting
  • Track benefit realization of the initiatives as identified under TF

Education
  • Academic background (Bachelor or master degree)
