About the team

Worldline Service Australia (WSA) delivers end-to-end payment services and technology support to Worldline clients within the Australian market. Our team focuses on ensuring reliable payment processing, proactive service management, and a superior customer experience through robust operations, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Our Team

The Service Delivery function provides operational governance, customer engagement and IT Service Management capability for Worldline Service Australia. The team is responsible for ensuring payment services remain stable, resilient and continuously improving through effective operational processes, customer governance and service assurance.

Your mission

Design, develop and maintain secure integrations, workflow automation and AI-enabled operational solutions that support the WSA operating model. The role is responsible for connecting business systems, automating operational processes and developing intelligent workflows that improve service delivery, reduce manual processing and support continual improvement.

The opportunity

We are looking for an energetic Automation Engineer who can help us develop our customer facing portal integration with our various service management tools who has exposure to banking, finance and payment organisations.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Integration Development
• Design and develop system integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms.
• Develop REST APIs, web services and event-driven integrations.• Build reusable integration components.
• Ensure secure data exchange between internal and external systems.

Workflow & Process Automation
• Develop workflow automation solutions to reduce manual effort.
• Design and implement orchestration across multiple business systems.
• Optimise operational processes through automation.
• Support robotic and low-code automation initiatives where appropriate.

AI Solution Development
• Develop AI-enabled operational workflows.
• Implement intelligent document processing.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into automation solutions.
• Develop AI-assisted operational tools and knowledge management capabilities.

Platform Engineering
• Develop and maintain automation platforms and integration services.
• Support cloud-native deployment models.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Maintain solution documentation and technical standards.

Collaboration
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Full Stack Engineers, Testing Lead, Release Manager and operational teams to deliver business outcomes.

Who are we looking for

Skills & Experience

Essential
• Significant experience in systems integration and automation.
• Strong API development experience.
• Experience with workflow orchestration platforms.
• Cloud-native application development.
• Experience developing secure integrations.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Highly Desirable
• AI and Large Language Model (LLM) integration.
• ServiceNow integration development.
• Azure Integration Services, AWS or equivalent.
• n8n, Power Automate or similar automation platforms.
• Payments or financial services experience.
• DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Essential
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Desirable
• Cloud certifications.
• Integration platform certifications.
• AI or machine learning certifications.
• Agile certification.
