The Mission
The purpose of the Fraud, Financial Crime & Retail Decisioning Tech Area is to deliver leading Fraud, Financial Crime and Retail Decisioning and Collections enterprise services, which support our customers in Australia and Institutional Divisions and which enable ANZ to meet its customer, risk, regulatory and compliance obligations.

As a Senior Systems Analyst, your role will be to provide technical thought leadership to drive work that refines requirements to increase the quality and efficiency of solutions and frameworks being built by the Chapter/Squad/Tech Area.

Your day to day will require you to:

  • Partner with the product owner to validate requirements and priorities and ensure alignment to value
  • Partner with the product owner, engineers and other people in the squad to uncover dependencies and validate boundaries and sequencing of user stories
  • Collaborate with product owners and engineers to translate business requirements into workable technology outcomes for the Squad
  • Leverage tools for optimal collaboration

What will you bring to this role
First and foremost we are looking for a strong leader who can influence a broad range of stakeholders to help facilitate the Tech Area’s strategic agenda and provide technical thought leadership. From here you will bring:
  • Extensive knowledge of the technical systems that support the business
  • Demonstrable experience in data lineage and data quality control.
  • Experience in servicing and supporting ad-hoc business analytics capabilities through analytics frameworks.
  • Previous experience working in Agile and ability to perform Scrum Master role.
  • Data modelling experience; modelling Whole of bank/Cross system data with focus on maximising flexibility and ability to change over time.
Additional skills you will bring:
  • Technical tools – experience with IBM i2, R, SAS or Cognos an advantage.
  • Big Data – experience with Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive, BigQuery etc an advantage.
  • Domain knowledge – experience with AML, Sanctions, Application fraud, Group Investigations or Financial Crime investigation an advantage.
