Amazon Web Services, (AWS) is seeking an Associate Solutions Architect within our Sydney or Melbourne team to work with startups and scale-ups across a wide range of industries and at different stages in their lifecycle. You will be equally at ease working with startup customers on their specific architectural discussions, as well as participating in startup community and scaled activities.

As an Associate Solutions Architect, you'll probably be early in your Solutions Architecture career. AWS and our Startup team will provide you with all the support, guidance, mentorship and opportunity you need to build your career and become a great Solution Architect. You'll learn to solve complex, technical challenges so your customers can focus on growing their business. You'll learn to use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. You'll learn through doing, you'll take part in technical solutions discussions, diving deep into the details with our customer and partner teams, and building long-term trusted relationships.

Key job responsibilities
* Help a diverse range of startups to adopt the right architecture at each part of their lifecycle
* Support startups in architecting scalable, reliable and secure solutions
* Support the evolution and roadmap of the AWS platform and services, connecting our engineering teams with our customers for feedback
* Develop startup specific technical content, such as blog posts, presentations, sample code and solutions, to assist customers solve technical problems and reduce time-to-market

• Master's or Engineering degree or Self/Industry taught equivalent experience.

• Knowledge of one or more modern programming language (Python, NodeJS, Go, Java, etc.)

• A passion for technology and for learning in areas such as - Data Engineering, DevOps, Micro-services, Containers, and Serverless architectures

• Ability to create proof of concepts, demos and/or leveraging reusable components

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Understanding or experience architecting, migrating or transforming requirements to the cloud

• Understanding of breadth of technologies in the developer ecosystem, including IDEs, developer frameworks, continuous integration platforms - One or more AWS certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate
