Systems/Infrastructure Engineer - M&A Integration Project

A leading engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Systems/Infrastructure Engineer to support a major technology integration program following an acquisition.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large-scale transformation initiative, supporting the integration of Microsoft cloud, identity, infrastructure, and enterprise applications across global environments.

The role will focus on delivering technical integration activities across Microsoft platforms, including Entra ID, Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid identity environments. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, managed service providers, and international stakeholders to support a successful technology transition.

This is a project-focused role, ideal for an Infrastructure Engineer with strong Microsoft cloud experience and a background in cloud migrations, technology transitions, or complex integration programs.

Role Details:

• Contract: Initial 3-month contract with a potential further 3-month extension
• Location: Sydney CBD fringe (hybrid working arrangement)
• Work Arrangement: 2-3 days onsite per week
• Start: Immediate availability preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Support infrastructure and cloud integration activities as part of an enterprise M&A technology program.
• Assist with Microsoft tenant-to-tenant migration and identity integration activities.
• Support Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and hybrid identity environments.
• Assist with cloud application migration and technology transition activities.
• Work collaboratively with internal infrastructure teams, vendors, managed service providers, and global stakeholders.
• Support technical implementation, testing, documentation, and handover activities.
• Assist with infrastructure, networking, and firewall-related changes where required.
• Contribute to successful delivery of technical workstreams throughout the integration lifecycle.

Skills & Experience Required:

• 5-7 years' experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience across Microsoft cloud technologies, including:
• Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
• Microsoft 365 / Office 365
• Azure cloud services
• SharePoint
• Experience supporting hybrid identity environments, including Active Directory and cloud platforms.
• Previous experience with cloud migrations, technology transitions, or M&A integration programs.
• Understanding of tenant-to-tenant migration concepts and enterprise cloud transformation activities.
• Ability to work across multiple technology areas and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with confidence engaging vendors, managed service providers, and international teams.
