Systems Engineer

Join a market leading technology team as a Systems Engineer to support the development of a new and modern trade solution.

You'll be working with the latest technologies alongside a globally dispersed technology team as part of a greenfield implementation. In this role, you'll be working towards the global Trade Services strategy servicing requests from various trade capture systems as well as downstream systems within the bank.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the development team by providing high-equality development, testing and production environment. Working closely with the security teams, you'll ensure our environments are vetted, safe and meet our stringent cyber security standards. You'll work with the automation testing team to ensure a working continuous integration and deployment pipeline.

The ideal candidate will be someone with a proactive approach in identifying technical risks and mitigation strategies. You'll have a track record of being hands-on and taking ownership of tasks. You'll be an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills. Preferably you will have experience working in an investment banking domain with sound knowledge of financial products.

Your technical expertise should include:
  • experience as a Developer or Software Engineer
  • strong UNIX/Linux experience
  • experience with Bamboo, Jenkins or GCP CI/CD suite
  • desirable skills in Kubernetes (and Helm)
  • solid understanding of Cloud Technologies such as AWS and GCP
  • experience with containers, Docker and related technologies
  • familiarity with testing tools like Cucumber, Selenium etc.
