Team/Role Overview

The Apps Support Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role that will contribute to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flows by working closely with various regional senior operations, technology and business partners, developing application knowledge, driving and tracking projects around stability and service improvement, incident resolution and providing strategic technical solutions.

You will be required to have good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Have strong communication and diplomacy skills are required and regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits.

What you'll do:

• The Application Support Senior Analyst provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed.
• Ability to handle incidents and problems at a global enterprise level. Calm and analytical when faced with major incidents on critical systems.
• Focus on the process improvement to reduce the Manual Touch Activities within the process and Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used.
• Communicate effectively with operations and technology partners on a regional or global basis.
• Performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution.
• Partners with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
• Ensures essential procedures are followed and helps to define operating standards and processes.
• Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors.
• Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives.
• Flexibility to take additional shifts when business mandates (which will be compensated as per company policy).
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

What we'll need from you:

• 4+ years experience in an Application Support role.
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience is Financial technology & business is desirable but not mandatory.
• Skill Set: Oracle, Microsoft SQL, UNIX
• Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications.
• Experience with some programming languages or willingness/ability to learn.
• Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand.
• Demonstrated analytical skills
• Issue tracking and reporting using tools
• Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools is desirable.
• Handson experience is resolving technical issues.
• Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
• Ability to plan and organize workload
