EOD processing and monitoring
Monitor Oracle and SQL server databases in the bank.
Monitors IT services, system resources usage and performance (24x7)
Responsible for documenting the configuration of the Bank Databases and troubleshooting any reported problems.
Co-ordinate with Vulnerability management team and apply authorized patches.
Activate/co-ordinate Disaster recovery tests from operating systems perspective
Monitor the alert log files and escalation handling
Administer the backup/restore policy of all business applications.
Monitor and manage data replication to DRC

Run all it operations for the Bank
Responsible for monitoring GPH assets availability across 24/7 *365 days.
In-Depth Knowledge of the bank IT operations.
Manage the database alert, trace log, error log and proactively monitor DB any abnormalities.
Database Replication service like ODG, ADG, Log shipping, Always ON and database mirroring.
Should perform the database backup and restore as on required.
Monitor/administer the datafile size, tablespace growth and file system size related issues to Database.
Should be able to create DB user accounts and grants/revoke with appropriate privileges as per bank standard/security policies.
Periodically update and maintain IT operational procedures.
Should be able to manage and resolve sync gap issues on Database replication between primary and DRC center.
Added advantage if working on banking domain and exposure on banking applications.
Should have basic working knowledge on operating system such as Solaris, Linux, Windows etc.,
Ability to report to escalate potential/proactively issues to Shift leader or Head of the department.
Should be able to work as a team and rotational shifts.
Periodic update of operating system and application patches
Participate in DR & BCP drills
Monitor system alerts and Job flows
Periodic scanning of Group IT infra for vulnerabilities and patching of systems and databases.
Job Requirements:
3-4 years solid experience working as a Jr. DBA Admin in any database / IT operator in a heterogeneous environment of Windows/Linux/Solaris/AIX
3-4years on backup technologies like Netbackup, Veeam & Unix/Linux & Windows environment
Knowledge of programming experience with proficiency in Unix Shell (Korn, Bash) scripting,
Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent
Degree in Computer science or equivalent experience with 2-5 years of proven IT Operations related experiences. A previous experience in 7*24 operation environments is desirable.
