Job Purpose:

This is a senior position within the independent Market Risk team with responsibility to act as the back-up to the Head of Group Market Risk, providing quantitative analysis and insight, giving assurance to the bank’s senior management that all risks are being measured accurately and managed/controlled in line with risk appetite, meeting both internal and regulatory requirements.

The mandate will revolve around improving BAU functionality of the Market Risk Department in addition to leading the implementation of various market risk related projects .

This is a senior position within the independent Market Risk team with responsibility to act as back-up to the Head of Group Market Risk, providing analysis and insight on all Treasury activities and the Bank’s overall liquidity risks. Providing assurance to the bank’s senior management that all risks are being measured accurately and managed/controlled in line with risk appetite, meeting both internal and regulatory requirements.

Experience with Pricing/hedging of banking products across asset classes ( Rates , FX , Bonds , etc)
Work with stakeholders on Bank-wide risk projects such as FRTB under the standardized approach, PFE methodology and stress testing framework revamp.
Actively participate and contribute to all required committees & meetings ensuring Market Risk view is represented in a clear and transparent manner.
Review Stress testing, VaR, pricing methodologies and other key market risk parameters for suitability and to submit enhancements where necessary
Be a key interface with the major stakeholders and deliver on relevant requirements. This will include (but is not limited to) the following:

a) BAU Market Risk Management: Management and monitoring of all market risks and associated limits, risk review of all investment proposals and strategy, model validation, Market Risk Reports for Investment Committees and GALCO

b) Projects: To be an independent SME on specific regulatory and business driven projects.

Contribute to new risk monitoring policies / procedures as required for new transactions or other changes to the business.
Work closely and manage relationships with groups outside market risk such as Credit risk, Finance, Business management, IT, Audit and Front office.
Day to day management of the market risk framework in Kondor and QRM system, validation and maintenance of market risk systems and define system functionality specifications to support any enhancement to the overall market risk.
Monitor key liquidity metrics across the Group and update the relevant committees.
Contribute to the implementation of stress testing as required by regulatory bodies and agreed in group wide policy
Contribute to the continuous development of market risk analysis techniques and tools
Ensure market best practice standards are applied to all departments within the Treasury Risk team.
Provide on the job training and transfer relevant knowledge to the Market Risk team.

Job Requirements:
