Our client is an International Buy & Hold Investment Group which is looking to hire an Analyst into their Investment Team in its recently established offices in Munich, Germany to support its expansion plans both domestically and internationally

A unique U.S. based Investment Group with a global presence is looking to grow their Investment Team in its German offices in Munich. Alongside their European and global offices, the German team covers the Healthcare, Technology/IT, business services and financial services sectors. For any investments made the Group is following a buy-build-hold-and grow approach in cooperation with the global sector portfolio managers.


The potential candidate will be part of the Group’s German M&A team who is on the lookout for potential investments with a focus on German speaking Europe and adjacent countries. The Group is undergoing a period of significant growth and is currently exploring a large number of highly synergistic investment opportunities. This role would suit an experienced, diligent and motivated self-starter who would like the challenge of developing and implementing the company’s inorganic growth strategy in a high paced and almost ever-changing environment.


Key responsibilities:

  • Gathering information on markets and investment opportunities through numerous sources
  • Identifying highly synergistic companies as potential M&A targets for the company
  • Reviewing marketing documents such as confidential information memorandums for financing and/or acquisitions
  • Persuading shareholders of M&A targets to pursue discussions 
  • Assisting in building trust with and articulating the unique and differentiating aspects of the Group’s investment proposition to shareholders of prospective M&A targets
  • Creating merger, LBO and DCF financial model analyses
  • Assisting in the management of the entire due diligence process across all of financial, tax, commercial, operational and legal
  • Preparing of internal investment theses and related materials



Key attributes:

  • Strong academic track record from a leading university
  • 1-3 years of relevant transaction experience at a top-tier Investment Bank, -boutique, Private Equity or Big Four institution
  • Strong technical skillset with regards to valuations and modelling
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast changing environment and willing to be pushed out of own comfort zone frequently
  • Highly organized and initial experience in project management
  • Very personable, team player and highly entrepreneurial
  • A ferocious appetite to continuously learn new things
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • Strong work ethic, creative, highly numerical and analytical as well as attention to detail
  • Native level of German, as well as fluent English are essential
