The Document Automation Engineer role is positioned within the Structured Products Technology team at the company, focusing on owning and optimizing the document automation framework across Asia. This position requires collaboration with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, reliable automation solutions leveraging the SmartDX platform. It plays a key part in supporting the company’s broader digital transformation efforts.

Key Skills & Experience

• Good financial market and Equity product knowledge
• Good understanding of global market sales legal challenges
• Excellent written and oral communication in English and Chinese
• Ability to translate complex functional requirements into technical specifications
• Advanced proficiency in .NET for webservice APIs and back-end development
• Experience with document automation engine setup and configuration
• Proven track record of building and enhancing client-facing IT systems for traders
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous

Role Overview
The role involves managing the end-to-end setup and configuration of the SmartDX document automation platform for Asia, designing and building product templates, and ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory and business needs. The engineer will develop and maintain orchestration services, integrate document automation into broader workflows, and champion DevOps practices. The position requires close collaboration with legal, sales, and technology teams, focusing on delivering high-quality, multilingual documentation automation solutions that support operational efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technology interface for regional Sales, Legal, and Structuring teams
• Gather, challenge, and formalize business requirements for document automation projects
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for the SmartDX platform
• Own setup and configuration of the SmartDX document automation platform for Asia
• Design, build, and manage document templates for various legal formats and product types
• Develop, maintain, and enhance C# orchestration services for document workflows
• Embed automation capabilities into the structured products distribution platform
• Manage release, CI/CD pipelines, and champion DevOps best practices
• Provide first and second-line support during Asia hours, monitoring platform health
• Explore emerging technologies like AI tools and cloud-native services for automation enhancement
