We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Insight Activation and Best Practice Specialist .

Principal responsibilities

  • Bring together cross-functional areas of the business to deliver global initiatives
  • Identify new market specific or global initiatives through reviewing HSBC data, customer data and external market data
  • Work in market clusters with the SCCO Outcomes Management team and metrics team to test and validate new initiatives to drive the key metrics
  • Enable these new or already established initiatives through bringing together digital and non-digital parts of the business to collectively drive change
  • Enable delivery of plan within agreed timescales or milestones with the local business teams using a range of influencing skills
  • Track and capture results to feed into future discovery creating best in class ways of working to drive global metrics
  • Develop partnerships with internal stakeholders and external sources of potential insight
  • Become a Champion for change to inspire stakeholders, anticipating their future needs and facilitating a structure to deliver solutions
  • Model HSBC's values and behaviours
  • Provide upward and horizontal stakeholder management to ensure Retail Banking and Wealth Management objectives are met
  • Work collaboratively with global and local functional groups as required to identify and catalyse cross-functional digital initiatives
  • Understand how to effectively bring together different parts of the business to drive opportunities
  • Proactively investigate, test and communicate new ideas or opportunities to markets
  • Be a self-starter, with plenty of drive and enthusiasm
  • Personally ensure that any global or local opportunity is executed through cross-functional enablement, with a positive effect of the digital Key Performance Indicators
  • Establish excellent working relationship with digital teams and the wider content requestors community across the business
  • Identifying key risks, issues and interdependencies and providing appropriate mitigation strategies or escalating as appropriate
  • Supporting audit or independent programme assessments as required
  • Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and regulatory standards, policies and practices, report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events
  • Evolve and contribute to teams' operational processes to ensure best operational practices are identified and scaled practices



  • Proven consultant mind set and significant experience of identifying and enabling strategic, customer and commercial outcomes across a digital organisation
  • Have a background rooted in digital expertise, data and customer centricity
  • Extensive experience of entrepreneurial thinking resulting in tangible improvements to Key Performance Indicators.
  • Have the ability to manage stakeholders both vertically and horizontally, with strong credibility
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex initiatives in universally understood language
  • Be highly skilled at collaboration and influencing high Emotional Quotient as well as Intelligence Quotient
  • Be comfortable with fluidity, ambiguity and change
  • Creative problem solver
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across key continents North America, Latin America, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe.
  • Have a proven ability to understand complex data, identify key trends and business opportunities, putting forward hypotheses to be tested and delivering recommendations
  • Have a strong Commercial and business focus, ability to critique and recommend initiatives to drive metrics for the business
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues in simple terminology
  • Innovative with the ability to approach things differently or do different things to deliver goals.
  • Curious with the appetite to constantly research and investigate the best practices from the wider industry
