We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Marketing Manager, Competitor Intelligence.

Principal responsibilities

  • Driving the framework to monitor competitor activity within the Financial Services industry and adjacent industries
  • Ensure proactive awareness of new initiatives, propositions, market share advances etc.
  • Identify external partners to support competitor information gathering and use a variety of methods and techniques to gather competitor intelligence e.g. war-warming exercises
  • Ensuring competitor intelligence helps to shape the development of Marketing plans, proposition development, and the design and development of wider marketing campaigns and approach.
  • Ensure core performance metrics, such as market share and net promoter score are consistently sourced, understood and interrogated, proactively advising movements in the competitive landscape on a market or regional or global level.
  • Bringing foresight to Marketing through spotting relevant latest innovation developments from competitors and non-bank players which could impact propositions and marketing approach.
  • Effective utilization of all Competitor Intelligence to drive positive actions and making proactive recommendations to improve performance.
  • Being the subject matter expert on the strategic areas assigned within the Marketing team.
  • Assisting with the delivery of the Marketing plans for the areas assigned, including leveraging the most appropriate resources to deliver Marketing activity.
  • Working with the wider Customer Strategy and Insight team to provide insight and expertise that contributes to the strategic conversation around how the areas assigned fit together to build client-centric solutions across the business.

  • ​The role holder must have a sound knowledge of the business areas assigned,
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of external and internal factors impacting the business and customer needs both now and in the future
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across a matrix.
  • Degree level qualification in marketing or business studies preferred.
  • Broad business experience within a Financial Service or consultancy based institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify strategic needs based solutions both now and in the future.
  • A range of Competitor Intelligence or marketing insight experience, including demonstrable success in developing and delivering high profile competitor intelligence programmes.
  • Experience and evidence of working within teams over multiple sites.
  • Proven understanding of customer insights and their role in marketing strategy development and delivery as well as communications development.
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development activities.
  • Proven track record in operating with and influencing leadership teams.
  • Proven track record in self-motivation, drive and delivering success.
  • Strong understanding of communication developments and emerging consumer, business decision maker and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to work on multi-function projects demonstrating excellent relationship building skills.
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts.
