Vice President - Listing (Business Management Unit)
HKEX's Listing Division ("Division")conducts the day-to-day administration of the Listing Rules as part of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong's role as the front-line regulator of listed companies in Hong Kong. The Business Management Unit of the Division assists with the regular and ad-hoc reporting obligations for the Division, formulates and monitors the Division's annual budget, contingency arrangements and oversees the implementation of the Exchange's administrative, policy and support initiatives.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Operating Officer of the Division and is expected to:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the Division's business support function to deliver high quality services to stakeholders
  • Oversee budgeting process and monitor resources allocation that provides for adequate financial and manpower strength to the Division
  • Manage periodic reporting, risk reporting and other ad-hoc reporting to meet with various reporting requirements of the Division
  • Lead all operational areas to ensure that effective processes exist and are maintained for all business support and administrative activities. This includes managing the repartitioning/moving of the Division's office premises, enhancing office security and streamlining manual processes via technology and simplification of workflows
  • Spearhead the people agenda for the Division, which aimed at fostering a good culture among teams, enhancing morale and employee motivation, and retaining talents
  • Update market contingency plan to keep abreast with the latest developments and oversee contingency drills for testing the effectiveness and completeness of the market contingency plan
  • Promote strong risk and governance framework in the Division and review the first line of defence following regulatory, organizational and operational changes
  • Understand business aspects of technology, oversee all web postings and provide operational and administrative support to IT systems
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with co-coordinators in the Division, HKEX and other stakeholders
  • Support other ad-hoc projects or tasks within the Division
Job Requirements:
  • University Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • At least 12 years' relevant working experience of which at least 6 years at a management/supervisory level with in-depth experience in business management and IT project management of well-established organisations
  • Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and proven experience to deliver technology to meet business needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working experience with FinTech/RegTech/AI/office process automation technology is a plus
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
