Quantitative Financial Expert
for our Budapest office
The Model Control team, as part of the firm's Valuation Control within Finance, provides an independent assessment of the entire spectrum of the valuation of Morgan Stanley's assets from plain vanilla products to the most complex
structured derivative transactions. The Budapest Model Control team leverages its quantitative skill set and intimate product expertise to act as a guardian of Morgan Stanley's valuation risk across the Globe.
The nature of the role provides a unique opportunity in Hungary to create an impact on the valuation framework of the derivatives products traded in a Top Tier investment bank.
Combine your acquired market intuition with various quantitative techniques to provide analysis on often novel or unconventional trades
Discuss the results of your independent assessment with senior stakeholders in front office, risk management and financial team members located in New York, London, Budapest, Hong Kong and Tokyo
Complete our new-hire training program on our internal processes, programming tools and trading structures to successfully perform the evaluation of the financial derivatives pricing methodologies used within the Firm

Knowledge of financial markets and derivatives, financial mathematical concepts encountered at university and have preferably applied them during your professional career
Strong academics required with preference for an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline: e.g. financial engineering, statistics, mathematics, physics, or engineering
Confident user of Excel and other technology tools
Strong inter-personal skills in order to interact confidently with Business Unit, Trading Strategists, Finance senior management, and the Market Risk Department
Able to learn quickly, communicate with virtual teams, perform well under pressure, and enjoy the challenge of doing so
