We are looking to hire a senior developer who will be part of Market Risk IT group which delivers software that is essential for measuring, managing and reporting the financial risks surrounding the
trading/banking/investment businesses of Credit Suisse. The candidate filling this role will be working in a highly complex application that is at the core of the Market Risk architecture and performs tens of thousands of risk calculations every day. Specific Objectives for you will include:
Design and implement software using C++ to address business requirements Coordinate with multiple teams like Business Analysts, QA, Project Management, Platform Services to effectively deliver the owned items Take ownership of multiple system components and be the SME whose assistance is sought after by other developers / support teams Propose and implement ideas that will improve system performance, stability, ease-of-use etc Partner with the support teams in resolving critical issues that arise from the production environment You Offer You Offer:
5+ years of experience in software development Strong programming skills in C++. Experience with STL / Boost lib on Unix platform Experience in designing, coding, and optimizing large enterprise systems Good understanding of data structures, algorithms and OS fundamentals Excellent faculty for logical reasoning Strong individual contributor and good teammate Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to learn and adapt Experience in database systems; Ability to design tables, write SQL queries Shell scripting and good understanding of Linux systems Nice to have:
Communication mechanisms like CORBA, ProtoBuf Python, Java, Pearl Knowledge of financial markets, investment banking, financial risk management Math skills (probability, statistics)
