Financial Systems Analyst
Job Description The Planning Systems team has an opportunity for a Financial Systems Analyst. The person in this role will support Moody's EPM system in the forecasting/budgeting processes. The candidate will provide operational support, coordinate system activities, lead system enhancement and maintenance, and liaise with business users and IT teams.
• Be a key point of contact with production support teams in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and planning tools through review and analysis.
• Support annual budget and quarterly forecasts process to ensure the process is well organized and supported.
• Assist in requirements gathering, design review, implementation, testing and documentation of application enhancements within Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Moody's Hyperion Planning and Reporting applications.
• Liaise between system users and technical developers both onshore and offshore.
• Support system users as follows:
o Report generation and design
o Answer questions on assumptions and logic in the planning models
o Thinking critically to assist with technical issues related to Hyperion software
o Conduct user training and maintain documentation
o Troubleshoot data integrity issues that have been escalated
o Keep track of and identify key system issues
• Perform various work assignments with direction from manager.
• Bachelor of Science or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Management Information Systems with 2 to 3 years of work experience.
• 1 to 2 years of work experience in application support
• Experience with desktop applications including Access, VBA and advanced Excel spreadsheet skills such as pivot tables.
• Experience with BI tools such as Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications or SAP BPC in budgeting, forecasting or related finance field a plus.
• Experience with SQL Server, SQL and\\or Microsoft Analysis Services a plus.
• Knowledge of system implementation and data conversion a plus.
• Well-developed problem-solving capabilities and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
