We are seeking motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our global team delivering complex projects worldwide. Responsibilities
- Executing assigned project activities with a strict focus on safety, quality, budget, and schedule KPIs.
- Serving as Lead or Area Lead Engineer for small-scale projects, providing technical direction and oversight.
- Developing critical project management artifacts, including project execution plans, RACI matrices, QC review matrices, work-hour estimations, and cost estimates.
- Managing project controls, including scheduling, progress monitoring, change management, risk mitigation, and resource planning.
- Interpreting project scope and contractual obligations to ensure full compliance across all deliverables.
- Providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to less experienced engineering personnel.
- Driving intra- and inter-discipline coordination to ensure seamless execution of project tasks.
- Managing battery limits, tie-ins, and complex inter-unit dependencies across engineering teams.
- Maintaining high responsiveness to both internal stakeholders and external client requirements.
- Performing rigorous structural calculations in accordance with international code requirements and standard industry practices.
- Preparing standard discipline deliverables, including engineering calculations, 3D models, and detailed structural drawings.
- Designing specialized structures, including pipe racks, technological structures, and heavy equipment foundations.
- Assisting in reviewing geotechnical reports and applying data for foundation design and civil works.
- Identifying and leveraging advanced design tools to optimize engineering efficiency and execution.
- Reviewing engineering design inputs for adequacy, accuracy, and completeness.
- Conducting thorough reviews of vendor documents and steel fabrication drawings.
- Participating in formal design reviews (e.g., 3D model reviews, constructability reviews) representing the CSA department.
- Resolving site queries and Requests for Information (RFIs) promptly to support construction progress.
- Executing brownfield project activities, including field verification, tie-in design, laser scan data integration, and alignment with as-built documentation.
- Ensuring designs are safe, of the highest quality, and deliver optimal value for the client.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from a reputable institution with 5 to 10 years experience in OGC project engineering
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, specifically STAAD, RISA, and RAM; familiarity with other industry-standard software is a distinct advantage
- Strong understanding of concrete and structural steel system design, including standard materials, fabrication methods, and construction practices within the Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) discipline
- Thorough knowledge of international industry codes and regulations, such as ACI, ASCE, AISC, and PIP
- Hands-on experience interpreting laser scans for existing plants and conducting field site surveys to gather accurate engineering inputs
- Solid understanding of CSA work processes, standard deliverables, project execution plans, and Project Quality Management (PQM) frameworks
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, structured engineering documentation
- Proven capability to lead a small team (approx. 5 engineers), with prior experience acting as the Lead Engineer on small-scale projects preferred
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a track record of maintaining concise, regular, and timely updates
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, empathy, and an appropriate level of assertiveness
- Demonstrated strength in task delegation and strategic decision-making
