IT Enterprise Application Architect

Company: Elevate Partners are partnered with a leading financial institution in Dublin to recruit an IT Enterprise Application Architect.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Enterprise Application Architect to join the IT function of a leading financial institution, reporting directly to the CIO. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s enterprise architecture, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with business goals and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and enforce architecture principles, policies, and governance frameworks for the enterprise application landscape.

• Provide architectural guidance for major projects, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and consistency across systems.

• Evaluate, select, and integrate new and existing enterprise applications and systems to support business needs.

• Partner with business and application owners to ensure solutions align with both current and future operational requirements.

• Develop and maintain the overall enterprise application architecture strategy, including frameworks and best practices.

• Communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing key decisions and outcomes.

• Conduct impact assessments for new business initiatives and technology changes within the application environment.

• Maintain a structured repository of architecture documentation, models, and artefacts.

• Lead deliberations within the Architectural Review Board and contribute to enterprise-wide technology planning.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• In-depth knowledge of IT business applications, including integration, security, and cloud-based infrastructure.

• Strong understanding of financial services technology, ideally within the wealth management sector.

• Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including executive and board-level audiences.

• Proven expertise in evaluating technology solutions and leading product selection processes.

Experience and Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in application development, implementation, or enterprise architecture roles.

• Proven track record in planning and delivering large-scale technology projects.

• Strong experience aligning CRM platforms (ideally Salesforce) with business strategies and operational goals.

• Deep understanding of systems integration, application design, and technology governance.
