Planning and managing Company’s tax related matters in accordance with Malaysian regulations. This includes introducing & implementing business process in the Company to ensure tax risk is properly mitigated.

Roles and responsibilities

GST

  • Key person in performing monthly GST submission to the authority
  • Process improvement to improve current GST submission & migration activity to GFS team

 

Corporate Tax

  • Preparing yearly Company’s final tax computation to be submitted to IRB
  • Assessing & submitting tax estimates that falls on June & Sep
  • Submission of Company’s tax pack on quarterly basis

 

Withholding Tax

  • Implementing business process together with GFS to ensuring Withholding Tax risk are properly addressed
  • Submission of monthly withholding tax payment & form to IRB

 

Transfer Pricing

  • Engaging with respective Business stakeholder to understand the business activities, recharges done by the Business to Countries
  • Introducing & implementing process to ensure Transfer Pricing policy are properly adhered
  • Having proper Transfer Pricing documentation are up to date

 

Business Finance

  • Being the business finance partnering with Property Function
  • Managing & closely engaging Business on managing actual & budget
  • Involved in month-end closing for Property Function related posting & Tax related posting
  • Responsible on submission of yearly budget & forecasting cycle

 

Stakeholders

  • Dealing with Business stakeholders on the above related matters
  • Working closely with SCB Malaysia Tax Team on tax-related matters
  • Key person in dealing with tax agent for Corporate Tax and Transfer Pricing related matters

 

 

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/Degree in Accounting
  • At least 6 years of working experience is required
  • Have basic tax knowledge
  • Having transfer pricing experience will be added advantage
  • Good sense of business acumen
  • Positive attitude, team player and keen on learning
  • Can work independently with minimum supervision
