The Specialist Strategy will work closely with Director Strategy and Manager Strategy to support with identifying and planning effective execution of the organisation’s strategic objectives and initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Director Strategy and Manager Strategy to drive and develop the Corporate Strategy and oversees initiatives for implementation
  • Supervise and monitor the analysis including assessing local market trends and implications for the agency, benchmarking of other institutions and best practice learning, and baselining of existing practices
  • Monitoring and execution of the Corporate Strategy and help other departments to guide the implementation of functional strategies
  • Coordinates the overall annual planning process in collaboration with other organisation’s functions
  • Responsible for the identification of key opportunities to enhance internal operating procedures and works closely with Strategy and Departments to redesign and re-engineer processes, including processes with external parties and / or regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that’s the department policies, procedures, and controls are up to date
  • Supervise the collection of identified data across the organization for overall Corporate Development reporting and maintains relevant dashboards
  • Supervise the preparation of key materials and presentations for senior stakeholders including but not limited to organisation’s Board Meetings, Executive Committee Meetings, other stakeholder meetings
  • Responsible for the key initiatives related to corporate development including but not limited to training and development, workforce planning, and recruiting
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of tools that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the organisation’s activities
  • On an ad-hoc basis, conducts timely and accurate quantitative and qualitative research for specific topics and develops insightful and concise outputs when requested by the Strategy Director/Manager or Leadership
  • Works closely with and oversees the delivery of services by Third Party Providers, for the Strategy department in line with agreed scopes of work and project governance structures
  • Review and priorities initiatives as requested by Strategy Director/Manager or Leadership
  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed by the Strategy Director/Manager or Leadership

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related subject – e.g. Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, etc.
  • Postgraduate degree would be an added advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in a client facing, consulting, customer relationship, account management or similar role.
  • Experience in a professional services firm with strategy consulting experience
  • Experience in working amongst public and private sector executives in a comfortable and composed manner
  • Experience managing a team of junior professionals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Project management and planning skills and ability to multitask and respond to a variety of demands
  • Result-oriented for clients and organization objectives
  • Good interpersonal skills: ability to engage with individuals
  • Strategic, operational planning and analytical skills with attention to details
  • Business acumen, commercially minded
  • Focus on customer care and teamwork skills and ability to deal with people sensitively and to use initiative in tackling problems
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • French, Spanish, German, Arabic etc. would be an added advantage
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
