Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational support for 1,000+ Oracle traditional and "Oracle as a Service" databases in the APAC region that supports the Global Consumer Business (GCG), that includes Tenant Operations administration, SQL performance troubleshooting and tuning, application deployment activities, database upgrade, patching and other maintenance activities.
  • Participate and Drive activities concerning the transition of GCB CIS towards Application Database Management.
  • Work with CATE, CISS Cloud Operations, and global counterparts in solving mission critical issues within the Oracle as a Service platform and provide inputs for the improvements of the platform globally.
  • Ensure that databases created and taken over are compliant with information Security Policy, CITMP policy, corporate standards.
  • Participate in the management of risk within the GCB CIS DBA organization, working with BISOs, Control Officers, and Compliance personnel across the globe, including the participation in VA remediation, participation and execution of COB tests, and resolution of FORTIDB/CSC exceptions.
  • Act as escalation point of Level 2 DBAs in terms of mission critical activities, complex database upgrades and patching activities.
  • Develops and implements database recovery plans and procedures according to the needs of each application.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements, including reduction of standard incidents, reduction of escalations.
  • Participate and contribute in Major Incident calls, and assist in Root Cause analysis, Resolution and Closure of Major Incidents.
  • Identifies and proactively resolves issues that could impact system performance, reliability and usability, prioritizing according to the following tiers: Franchise Critical, Gold, Silver, and Bronze applications.
  • Act as coach for new or less experienced team members

  • Vendor Management (outsourcing partners, Oracle, ACTIFIO, Cloud Operations)
  • Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Coordination within the team, Production Management, Cross Functional Streams, CATE, Controls Officers
  • Ability to perform Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
  • Collaboration with application, business, and service management organizations to improve service quality
