The team is a part of Global Spread (Credit & Securitized Products Group) Technology supporting the Risk and P&L function within investment banking. It is responsible for running the existing stack and includes strategic work to reengineer technology for both business and regulatory projects. Developers on the team work closely with Market Risk, Finance and Traders to design solutions that drive business growth, efficiency and best-in-class compliance.

Our ongoing areas of development include streamlining existing technology and processes for aspects like VaR and Stress feeds, CCAR reporting, Market Risk reporting, and on-boarding of new products and businesses, as well as continuing maintenance, consolidation and strategic reengineering of our core platforms. The role exposes the team to different products within Fixed Income and related work flows.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
• Proficiency in C#/Java/Python and Oracle PL-SQL.
• Perl experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with ETL development, methodology and tools.
• Good working experience on Windows and Linux/Unix environment
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
• Good understanding of one or more asset classes - Fixed Income products preferred.
• Demonstrate understanding/desire to learn about financial modelling, P&L, and risk.
