The role

Reporting directly to the Finance Transactional Lead, you will work collaboratively with the Accounts Payable team based oversees and our Group Procurement teams, to ensure high quality and efficient processing of invoices.

Key accountabilities

• Support the activities of the Accounts Payable team based offshore and be the main point of contact to support with queries, problem solving and escalation issues. • Monitor, review and challenge the performance of the Accounts Payable teams offshore through relevant KPIs and analysis. • Act as liaison between Accounts Payable and Procurement; ensuring alignment of both departments processes and policies to drive efficiency and improved supply chain management. • Support Procurement in implementing and overseeing P2P processes with new and existing suppliers. • Support Procurement in key group initiatives requiring Accounts Payable/Procurement involvement to deliver savings or service improvements to the business. • Supplier payment run review, prior to approval. • Assist the business in creating and issuing clean purchase orders in line with Azets P2P policy. • Identify opportunities by reviewing current processes to continuously improve payment on time • Monitor supplier queries, triaging queries to the Accounts Payable offshore team ensuring internal SLAs are met. • Coordinate the annual review of live supplier accounts and removal of unused accounts and PO cleanse. • Support business initiatives and projects ensuring operational changes impacting elements relating to Accounts Payable are subject to robust controls and processes. • Work cross functionally within finance to support with reporting and month end processes. • Gain evidence to support internal and external audits of the function. • Accounts Payable lead for the integration of finance activities as part of acquisitions. • Ad-Hoc Tasks.

Skills & experience

• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience • Knowledge of general accounting procedures • Knowledge of relevant accounting and invoice processing software • Advanced experience and skills in MS Excel • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy • Problem identification and resolution skills • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to get into the detail of complex problems to understand and resolve them • Right first time and continuous improvement approach • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships • Team oriented with a collaborative working style • Attention to Detail with a curious and inquisitive approach • Ability to be resourceful and work autonomously
