As an Assistant Tax Manager, you will be joining a global energy business, supporting on a range of compliance & advisory matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide clear, practical and business focused advice on the tax implications of projects and tenders
- Assist with managing the tax structure for operating in new jurisdictions
- Completion and renewal of tax registrations in a timely manner
- Ensuring relevant tax processes and procedures are documented, and maintained up to date
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on the tax risk profile of on-going projects
- Quarterly and Year End tax reporting under IFRS
- Liaison with external advisors regarding the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns, as required.
- Assisting with tax enquiries and audits, including responding to information requests
- Liaison with the Treasury and Finance teams and other key stakeholders
- Helping implement specific projects, including internal restructurings
Skills & experience required:
- Relevant accounting or tax qualification
- In-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax
- Working knowledge of personal and indirect tax
