Compliance and AML Deputy Manager
To support the Head of Compliance/MLRO in all aspects of financial crime prevention, data protection and regulatory compliance to ensure that the business complies with relevant legislation, rules and guidance; monitoring the application of all procedures and responding to financial crime and regulatory compliance related enquiries - escalating issues to the HoC/MLRO as appropriate.
Helps implement and maintain the Compliance Monitoring Programme
Keeps up to date in respect of legislative and regulatory changes and industry best practice
Assists the HoC in the development, maintenance and implementation of appropriate frameworks, policies and processes
Monitors compliance with all applicable regulations and laws - advises management accordingly
Assists with research for new products
Reviews and approves financial promotions and various communications.
Assists in investigations of breaches or alleged breaches of regulations
Receives and records all complaints
Ensures approved persons and Training & Competence procedures and records are maintained
Assists the Head of Compliance / MLRO in ad-hoc compliance-related projects or issues as necessary.
Assists with the monitoring and investigation of payments and transactions
Cascades any "real" sanctions alerts to appropriate areas
Reviews / decides / escalates, as appropriate, PEP, sanctions, controlled/dual-use-goods referrals
Assists in the detailed review of sanctions and financial crime-related matters
Assists the HoC/MLRO in the compilation of the annual MLRO Report
Ensures the Compliance Monitoring Programme considers all aspects of Financial Crime
Assists with reviews on the effectiveness of ZBUK's AML/CFT controls, policies and procedures
Reviews and checks, prior to sign off by HoC/MLRO, all New Business/Customer Mandates as acceptable for KYC/B. Monitors account opening procedures
Assist the HoC (who also acts as the DPO) in all aspects of maintaining compliance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation
