Why is OAT Test Analyst the next step for you?
As a key part of the team you will be interfacing with Operations (Business Users), Service Management (BAU Service Support), Deployment, IT and the business stakeholders, providing advice on OAT best practices and acting as a consultant on all OAT matters for projects. You will be creating core OAT documentation to agreed standards (e.g. Test Approach, Test Plan, Test Scripts, Test Conditions, Expected Results, Incident Reports and Test Completion documentation) ensuring all the OAT deliverables are tested in accordance with the company's testing policy, technical policies and procedures. Defining test scope, approach, risks and assumptions are also part of the role.
How will you add value on a day-to-day basis?
You'll manage OAT project deliverables, identifying and recording risks involved and helping to develop mitigating actions. Ensuring that all relevant OAT standards and procedures are applied, including adopting the appropriate OAT Test Strategy for the specific development methodology.
You'll have broad based knowledge - both in the Business and Technical areas to be able to advise and influence clients and colleagues in strategic direction and consult on issues. Have enough infrastructure and solution architecture knowledge to confidently represent Operational Acceptance Testing in design walkthroughs and to work with other teams on a day to day basis.
Manage your work to ensure that all test plans and schedules meet delivery milestones. Be able to integrate, when required, the test plans of all programmes/projects to ensure contingency arrangements exist. To initiate, influence others and act on the outcome of quality reviews where appropriate. Able to identify solutions to problems and to drive their implementation.
What will make you the ideal candidate?
Experience at an OAT Test Analyst level, with a demonstrable track record working on large testing projects, as well as an understanding of Operational Acceptance Criteria's like - Reliability, Resilience, Backup etc. You will have enough infrastructure and solution architecture knowledge to confidently represent Operational Acceptance Testing in design walkthroughs and to work with other teams on a day to day basis. You will have good experience of HP Quality Centre/ JIRA for creating and managing test documentation and raising incident reports, as well as knowledge of performance test tools such as OATS (Oracle Application Test Suite), JMeter and HP LoadRunner (Performance Center).
