  • Establish technical approaches, define common patterns and standards, and guide integrations across teams within the business unit.
  • Apply systems thinking across organizational boundaries, analyzing issues holistically and making recommendations on policies and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop effective solutions to technical and business challenges.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of how your technology stack connects to business outcomes and the bottom line.
  • Lead a community of practice, bringing people together for shared learning and fostering knowledge exchange across engineering teams.
  • Mentor and support junior architects, developers, and engineers, sharing domain and industry expertise to accelerate their growth.
  • Report on the status of complex, high-impact initiatives to technical and business stakeholders through written and verbal communication.
  • Drive digital strategy decisions and provide digital business model consulting within IT teams.
  • Recognize opportunities to step into peer engineering management responsibilities as the need arises.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of how complex systems interact, including integration and communication patterns across applications, databases, and technology platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to define and communicate technology standards and patterns across an organization

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
  • Active contributions to the broader engineering community, such as blog posts, open-source contributions, tech talks, or conference presentations
