Someone who is proactive, hands-on with a can-do attitude, providing our own department and internal clients with a seamless service.
You'll be responsible for providing services across the whole department. Acting and supporting as a service leader, involved in day-to-day operations and focusing on adding value. Fully aligned with the long-term interests of the business, you will be analysing Workplace projects and initiatives, working cross functionally with other team members and suppliers to provide management information and recommendations into how we can improve our performance and efficiency.
This is a new role, working within our department's procurement function. The role will include; analysis of supplier performance and tracking of suppliers, services and goods. Undertaking due diligence activity for new suppliers. Assisting with the organising and planning of projects; Risk analysis, cost estimation, managing, coordinating, execution, completion and post implementation reporting of projects.
The aim is to create a central function for the department that assists with the commercial aspects of our Workplace world, the buildings, services we manage and the projects under our remit. Ensuring that they are properly and proactively managed, controlled and reported and that commercial strategy is developed and delivered in accordance with the requirements of the business.

The team
We're part of Workplace Services, the team that provides Facilities, Estates Management, Utilities, Sustainability, Travel and Physical security services internally to Schroders.

What you'll do
• Benchmarking and tracking of Suppliers, Services, Goods and rates. Ongoing Supplier surveillance, governance and due-diligence activity. • Assess risks and make recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in business situations. • Look for opportunities to strengthen and improve our business and mitigate risks, through partnerships or new initiatives; working to implement those opportunities. • Contract performance Management i.e. SLA's, KPI reporting (Linking with CAFM platforms). • Build & maintain relationships with current and prospective suppliers. • Procurement administration activities - NDA's, 'small works' packages, background checks and diligence activity (Credit checks, Financial Crime etc). • PMO central function; FM, Estates, Security, Sustainability, Travel. Major project and initiative tracking MI. • Reporting - Creation, maintenance & completion of standard reporting documentation and tools. • Contracts - Ongoing recording, storing and auditing of our contract database - Worksite. • Analysis - Provide expert support and data analysis e.g. dilapidation tracking & building occupation statistics, market trends etc. • NDA,PQQ,RFI,RFQ,RFP Tender preparation & ongoing analysis. • Schroders internal compliance requirements - RCA's, DR/BCP etc. • Policy and process support and tracking.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
• Degree qualified, or equivalent/relevant experience • Experience of development and implementation of procedures and processes • Procurement, commercial management, Project management experience. • Knowledge of contract conditions, terms and requirements • Strong contractual experience • Negotiating talent • Excellent IT skills • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels • Ability to effectively prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines • Evidence of new ways of thinking which delivers benefits • Ability to influence others • Proven record of delivery of planned activity against a business plan • Experience of working with Outsource service providers and external advisors

• Completion of similar roles in similar organisations • Member of relevant professional body, or working towards membership.
