The world is becoming more globalised with business conducted much more on the international stage and to facilitate this increasing globalisation, companies are having to move their people internationally to support their global strategies.

Grant Thornton's Global Mobility Services (GMS) team sits within the broader Employer Solutions (ES) team that provides support to employers and employees via five main sub-teams: GMS; Reward Advisory Services; Employment Tax and Payroll; Employee Benefits Consultancy; People Advisory Services.

Some of the areas the GMS Team cover are: Global Mobility Strategy; International Assignment Policies; Tax Reimbursement Policies; Policy communication and implementation; International social security compliance and planning; Cost projections; Assignment letters; Tax Return preparation; Payroll administration; Individual arrival and departure briefings.

The Team also works with third parties to deliver relocation and immigration services so companies if they choose can use the GMS Team as a single point of contact in managing their internationally mobile employees.

Job Description:
A Senior Manager must demonstrate a depth of UK GMS tax technical and practical knowledge and apply this knowledge to develop solutions to complex tax technical issues plus day to day practical issues. They should be able to manage complex and demanding client engagements on a day to day basis and must also have the experience and aptitude for managing a Team.
Main responsibilities
•Proactively seeks out business development opportunities
•Participates fully in new client pitch situations
•Assist with the development of our market proposition, including publications, seminar activity and targeting of prospective clients.
•Takes responsibility and ownership of the client relationship at the appropriate level in the client's organisation
•Writes high quality reports, professionally presented documents, to the standard required
•Acts as a focal point for the delivery of practical and tax technically correct advice to clients and the business
•Consults on a variety of technical areas, including the ability to identify those able to provide support in relation to risk
•Can bring other broader GT services to our clients
•Demonstrates broad technical UK GMS tax knowledge
•Works with colleagues to develop solutions to complex technical issues
•Is an approachable and respected member of the team who takes a proactive interest in the team's performance and well being, as well as their own
•Assisting with staff tax technical and practical GMS training and development
•Prices work on a commercial basis with a view to achieving an appropriate level of recovery on costs.

Who we're looking for:
- Ideally you will be ATT or CTA qualified or equivalent (minimum criteria)
- Have Senior management and team leadership experience (minimum criteria)
- Experience of globally co-ordinating clients from the UK
- Someone with a track record of securing new business
