Software Engineer II - Salesforce

Work within our Product Solutions IT team and be part of a small team that helps ensure our applications and technology are able to deliver the capabilities to support our growing banking operations, as well as support our expansion roadmap. You will work closely with cross-functional business, IT and vendor teams to ensure we are delivering the right-sized solutions to meet current, future and long-term needs in support of our banking product processing and continuing expansion efforts.

As a Software Engineer, will be part of the Credit Origination, Credit Management and Credit Automation group.

The primary responsibility will be towards the development and delivery of Credit Underwriting, Credit Origination/Management and Automation solutions/projects and initiatives being used by our Lending and Credit Administration teams. The engineer will be responsible for development, testing, deployment and sustainment of in-house built and vendor credit underwriting platforms The role will be focusing on developing the solutions working closely with partner resources and onsite team members (development leads and systems analysts).

Primary responsibilities would be:

  • Hands-on development and contribution towards the delivery of the projects at hand

  • Work closely and collaborate with onsite/offsite leads

  • Follow SVB's SSDLC delivery methodology for the delivery of the solutions

  • Collaborate and contribute to the architectural roadmaps and adhere to the enterprise architecture guidelines

  • Compliance to all SVB standards, policies and procedures.


  • A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related engineering discipline

  • 2-3 years of experience on software engineering

  • Ability to analyze and trouble shoot production issues

  • Must have experience in development of applications on platform (a.k.a.

  • Required to work in overlapping/shift hours as required (on a rotation basis).

  • Experience in working with COTS and SaaS solutions

  • Hands-on Experience with .NET, Java/J2EE, Restful Webservices, web applications, JSM, transactional databases, NoSQL databases

Nice to have:

  • Experience implementing solutions using Agile/Kanban/Iterative delivery methodologies

  • Implementation experience with SAAS/PAAS based solutions.
  • Experience in utilizing SSDLC

  • Experience with Commercial Loan Origination, nCino, Moodys Risk Analyst

  • Knowledge with enterprise integration services/solutions

  • Working knowledge with SOA platforms like MuleSoft, APGIEE, Oracle ESB etc
  • Experience in development of ETL
