Infrastructure Security Architect
Description
CME Group Infrastructure Security Architecture provides security leadership for enterprise projects and fulfills the role of lead architect for security projects. Adding your experience and knowledge to the team will further enhance our ability to provide secure technical design recommendations and support delivering business value.
The Infrastructure Security Architect participates in all functions related to Infrastructure Security Architecture including infrastructure security strategy and roadmap planning, acting as a security liaison to the business, performing the lead architect role for security projects, developing security standards and reference architectures, and performing security assessments.
This is a senior role requiring expertise in multiple disciplines and exposure to a broad range of technologies. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with subject matter expertise in two or more technology and information security domains, for example: cloud computing (GCP, AWS, Azure), virtualization and containers, networking, SIEM and log management, endpoint protection, identity and access management, and zero trust technologies. In addition, candidates must be comfortable collaborating and consulting with peers across the enterprise to drive a security first approach while supporting the timely delivery of business solutions.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide architecture leadership for security projects focused on maturing information security capabilities. Work across the organization to develop security roadmaps and communicate security vision to business partners and technology stakeholders.
  • Consult with enterprise architects and business teams on secure infrastructure design. Perform security assessments for business projects to ensure projects adhere to security standards and practices.
  • Lead the development of security policies, standards, reference architectures, and procedures.
  • Assist in the remediation of assessment, audit, and regulatory findings.
  • Build consensus for secure solution designs and collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise including Technology, Information Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management, and others.
  • Contribute to key working groups like: Architecture Review Board, Change Advisory Boards, Cloud Service Review committees.
  • Act as an advocate for security and lead efforts to promote security awareness at all levels of the organization.
Education
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
Experience
  • 10+ years with information security with a focus on analysis, design and service development OR demonstrated ability to meet job requirements through a comparable number of years of technical work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as an enterprise and/or security architect in publicly traded companies or finance/technology industry; or commensurate experience as a consultant to such companies. Experience with architecture frameworks like Zachman or TOGAF is desirable.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of Infrastructure and Information Security technologies with subject matter expertise in two or more.
  • Experience developing standards, reference architectures, policies, procedures, and implementation guidelines
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to develop material and present to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with security and regulatory frameworks (CIS, NIST, RegSCI, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Experience with security practices for public cloud platforms, like GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Experience with security practices for container platforms like Kubernetes
  • Preferred: one or more certifications, including: GSEC, CISSP, CISA, GIAC, GPEN, PMP, MCSE, GCIA, GCIH
