This role will split between the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and Cash Analytics teams. The Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) team is part of the Balance Sheet Insight Center in the Financial Planning & Analysis organization. FTP allocates Net Interest Income (NII) to each business unit based on the nature of their assets and liabilities. The FTP team acts as a primary point of contact between Global Treasury, business leaders, and their finance partners worldwide on topics relating to FTP including business unit and product profitability and forecast guidance.
· The Cash Analytics team plays a vital role in helping State Street manage their deposits and other cash offerings. Business leaders rely heavily on the analysis and insights the team produces.
· The successful candidate must be self-motivated and results-oriented with an understanding of the balance sheet and P&L. The candidate must have a focus on client satisfaction and building partnerships with a cross section of Business Finance and Treasury staff and managers.
Key responsibilities of these roles include:
o Understanding FTP calculation methodology and key impact drivers such as market interest rates asset and liability duration and balance sheet activity
o Present post FTP NII results to senior leaders explaining various drivers
o Present monthly Treasury and Mismatch Center results to the CIO
o Develop Monthly Cash Share of Wallet Analysis
o Develop and Maintain Deposit Composition Analysis
o Create Monthly Senior Management Cash and Liquidity Solutions Materials
o Act as the subject matter expert for Business Unit NII
o Timely and accurate reporting and variance analysis including actual vs. budget trends prior period and geography for review with finance business partners
o Internal quality control checks related to monthly actual and forecast production process including FTP rates business unit and product profitability
o Documentation of procedures and methodologies to improve transparency in FTP modeling and results
o Ad hoc reporting and projects to assist Finance partners
o Strong quantitative skills
o 8+ years of relevant experience
o Excellent understanding of key financial statements specifically a banks balance sheet
o Strong understanding of deposits and deposit pricing
o In-depth knowledge of complex financial products and businesses
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
