Associate Analyst, System Analysis
The associate analyst, data quality, within Enterprise Data Solutions, is responsible for data systems analysis, data quality, data expertise, and governance of transaction, merchant, and other data available in the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Specifically, resources in this role act as liaisons between MasterCard business and technical teams in areas such as data quality, analysis, audits and controls, and report definition and creation. The Data Analyst will review, analyze, and ensure the quality of data loads into database systems.
The Data Analyst will partner with business partners and technology teams to profile the data, research data anomalies and trends, and to document data profiling outcomes.
•Utilize existing tools to analyze data according to defined business rules and procedures.
•Construct, document, communicate and perform DQ tests to verify data integrity.
•Document and publish Data Quality tests and results
•Communicate Data Quality non-compliance to Team and Management to resolve issues.
•Provide technical analysis of product or application hardware and software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met.
•Prioritize and identify cross application/system enhancements.
•Provide technical support to business owners during implementation of new products/services and provide subject matter expertise for support escalations.
Knowledge / Experience:
•SQL, Data quality, data analysis would be helpful
•Broad understanding of data quality concepts and methodologies would be helpful
•Demonstrate MC Core Competencies.
•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
•Ability to work with a large organization and build SME relationships
•Provide strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
•Knowledge of Oracle or Netezza /SQL
•Ability to follow data quality standards, metrics and audit procedures.
•Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative, and organization skills.
•High-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
