Position Summary



Natixis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Model Risk Manager to join our US CIB Model Risk Governance team within the broader Model Risk Management (MRM) department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing model validation, model risk assessment, and comprehensive model risk management across the Natixis Group.



As the CIB Americas Model Risk Manager, you will work closely with and provide strategic support to the Combined US Operations (CUSO) Head of Model Risk Management, ensuring the integrity, compliance, and excellence of our Model Risk Governance framework.




Key Responsibilities



In this role, you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive the continuous evolution of our risk management practices. Your essential duties will include:



  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering actively across the organization, including collaborating with business lines, risk partners, and key internal support units.

  • Framework Enhancement: Contributing to the continuous improvement, design, and implementation of the CUSO MRM Framework.

  • Inventory Management: Maintaining and updating the CUSO Model Inventory, which includes managing new model declarations, performing rigorous data quality checks, and executing necessary corrections.

  • Policy & Procedure Governance: Authoring, maintaining, and updating comprehensive MRM procedures, guidelines, and policies.

  • Executive Reporting: Contributing to high-impact CUSO reporting and creating strategic presentations for senior management, including the CUSO Model Risk Management Committee (MRMC) and CUSO MRM Dashboards.

  • Audit & Regulatory Support: Serving as a key point of contact and providing robust support for internal audits, regulatory examinations, and internal control reviews.

  • Validation Planning: Contributing to the design, execution, and systematic follow-up of the annual model validation plan.

  • Action Plan Tracking: Facilitating the rigorous follow-up and resolution of validation findings, conditions, and notices.

  • Training & Education: Developing and delivering engaging MRM training programs to raise risk awareness across the platform.

  • Systems & Tools Optimization: Contributing to the enhancement of MRM technology tools, and providing dedicated technical support to model validators.




Qualifications



We are looking for a proactive analytical professional who possesses a strong quantitative background and strong communication skills.



  • Education: A Master of Science or an equivalent advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or another highly quantitative field.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-9 years of professional experience in model-related fields, such as model governance, model validation, model development, quantitative research, or quantitative audit.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Prior experience developing or validating financial models is highly preferred.

    • Advanced programming skills in quantitative languages, including Python, SQL, R, MATLAB, VBA, C/C++, or C#, are a strong plus.

    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


  • Communication & Collaboration: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex quantitative concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Interpersonal Skills: A demonstrated ability to interact, build relationships, and work closely with business stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

  • Adaptability & Drive:

    • A self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while successfully meeting established deadlines.

The salary range for this VP position will be between $140,000 - $170,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance



The salary range for this this Director level position will be between $170,000 $190,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance
