CME Group is currently looking for a Product Management summer intern.

The candidate will assist the Product Management Team on day-to-day activities in support of software product solutions for CME's business lines. The Product Management team is responsible for developing of new features, software systems that increase CME's IP and drive growth in volumes and market share.

We build solutions that support CME"s diverse business in trading of such products as Crude Oil, Soybeans, Aluminum, US Treasuries, Repurchase Agreements,, etc.. Our product suite includes chat, central limit order book trading, auctions, , mid-matching, RFQ, STP, web and mobile clients.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with product managers as well as analysts and software engineers on ad-hoc projects for development of new features and technology
  • Assist in the analysis of requirements and project documents
  • Generate of reports, provide data analysis and create visualizations
  • Develop dashboards, collection of metrics using python and/or other scripting tools
  • Development of testing tools to support UAT testing

Skills / Software Requirements:
  • Knowledge of a major programming language such as Java or C/C++ , basic design and architecture concepts.
  • Coding ability to write scripts for automation and testing
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, and rapidly adapt
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work engage and build rapport across teams
  • Passion for software development
  • Passion to learn about the real world of trading commodities and financial products

Education:
Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering
