Product Manager Sr - Home Lending
The JPMorgan Chase Home Lending Product and Innovation Teamprovides strategic vision, product development, and process innovation with thegoal of building a transformational lending experience for Chase Home Lendingcustomers. The Home Lending Product Innovation Team will spearhead efforts tocreate compelling mortgage products and programs that appeal to both customers andinvestors in the resulting mortgage-backed securities.

The Product and Innovation team is composed of innovation workand a more traditional product management function. The team acts in a similarmanner to an internal consulting group, addressing topics at the top of seniormanagement agendas and at the forefront of the industry. Projects includedeveloping innovative product and service offerings to improve customers'experiences and to grow the business, identifying FinTech partnershipopportunities to enhance customers' digital experience and our operationalefficiency, and creating a customer engagement strategy tailored to provide abest in class experience.

This role is responsible for helping to lead the strategy todevelop an industry leading prime Ability to Repay (ATR) Standard, which willlead to greater product innovation, improved customer experience and a moreactive/liquid PLS market. The role will partner closely and involvecollaboration with multiple functions in Home Lending including CapitalMarkets, Consumer and Correspondent Originations, Legal, Credit Risk andCompliance teams. The role will also involve engagement with externalstakeholders, including regulators, rating agencies and other industry andtrade groups.

  • Be exposed to and influence the strategic priorities for the Home Lending business


  • Develop and refine an Industry Standard for Jumbo Mortgages, which includes fostering innovation and opportunities for efficiency


  • Develop/deepen expertise in the mortgage business


  • Be mentored and coached by experienced and talented managers on problem solving, analytical, communications and leadership skills


  • Gain exposure to senior leadership primarily within Home Lending, as well as leaders in other lines of business


  • Lead and implement improvement initiatives with aggressive timelines






Areas ofresponsibility



  • Performing competitor/industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources


  • Structuring and building quantitative and qualitative/conceptual frameworks and analyses


  • Analyzing customer, operational, and financial data to develop implications that support and help frame business decisions


  • Proactively managing work to deliver critical business initiatives with both quality and speed


  • Building concise communication materials for senior management


  • Working collaboratively with team members across the business and staff areas


  • Demonstrating experience in tailoring problem solving methodologies to address business challenges






  • 4 years experience in banking, preferably in mortgage, capital markets, strategy, analytics and/or finance roles; advanced degree desirable


  • Naturally analytical with a capability and desire to work toward solutions in areas of ambiguity


  • Ability to build and leverage relationships at all levels of the organization and influence decisions without direct authority


  • Excellent end-to-end problem solving skills and ability to prioritize issues and analysis


  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and listening skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and achieve goals without direct control over resources


  • An outstanding ability to apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently, and work well in cross-functional teams


  • A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership


  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers


  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills


  • Financial Services, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), and/or Mortgage experience preferred
