You will have responsibility for the financial oversight related to the corporate, bidding, and asset management activities in the North America and Latin America region. You will work alongside the other teams, including Accounts Payable, Group Tax and Company Secretary, to ensure financial operations and reporting deadlines are met. As a member of the North American and Latin team, the Head of Finance will also play a general management role, supporting the functions of the two regions, providing financial management on certain project companies, and taking ownership of the overall financial activities in the regions. The role will support senior stakeholders including Managing Directors (Business Line Co-head or Head).
Responsibilities:
• Manage the outsourced Asset Management accounting team in preparation and timely submission of quarterly report per LLC Agreements and Finance Agreements
• Manage external audit relationship and annual audit process through to signing of annual financial statements
• Own the external tax advisor relationship including full responsibility for submission of annual corporate income tax and withholding tax returns
• Ownership for all financial projects in the region
• Management of North America & Latin America Branch entities and Holding companies in accordance with Group Policies & Procedures
• Understand, manage and have oversight of the day to day accounting operations of the U.S., Canada, Latin America entities, including but not limited to:
- management Service Agreements with project companies
- Validating supplier payments
- treasury and cash flow forecasting and management
- bank reconciliations
- bid cost tracking and reporting
- monthly accounts
- withholding and sales tax filings
- annual and quarterly U.S. informational tax filings (1099 and 1042)
- credit card reconciliations
- travel agency account
• Management and review of monthly close and e-audit files
• Manage external audit relationship and annual audit of financial statements
• Manage external tax advisor relationship including submission of annual corporate income tax returns and quarterly estimated tax payments
• Budgeting and delivery of forecasting and budgeting of the regions’ operating costs and income
• Maintain Company Secretarial compliance and records through close liaison with company secretary and external registered agents
Provide timely and accurate responses to ad hoc enquiries, including
• Assist Primary Investment Team/Bid Managers with any entity or financial information required in preparation of project bids
• Understand project bid costs and work with bid managers to provide Group FP&A monthly forecast
• Provide advice and assistance with respect to accounting process and procedures and accounting methodology
Requirements:
