Vice President, Software Engineering

Duties: Provide application development services for JPMorganElectronic Trading Technology group. Develop Futures/Rates Multi-Leg pairstrading application (MLS) in low latency Java. Responsible for expanding MLSautomated trading platform to both EMEA and APAC. Use Java - Server-SideDevelopment using multi-threading. Work on Low-Latency / High-Throughputdevelopment using Java. Work on Market Data and Infrastructure(Network/Distribution). Understand the business requirements and translate intothe trading engine platform. Implement technical solutions to requirements,meeting end-user expectations in terms of both functionality and deadline.Ensure system is resilient and scalable to volatile market events in handlinglarge number of messages without increasing latency. Ensure supportability andmaintainability at the forefront of concerns when designing all deliverables;liaise with 'First Line Support' to ensure effective support for all deliveredsolutions.

Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, or related field.

Minimum experience required: 7 years of application development experience, or related experience.

Skills Required: Must have demonstrated knowledge in core Java programming language with experience in multithreading and garbage collection optimization. Must have demonstrated knowledge in Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol. Must have demonstrated knowledge in fixed income products (i.e. rates, bonds) and futures (i.e. treasury futures, commodity futures, index futures, etc.) and working knowledge in global trading. Must have experience developing low-latency and high-throughput financial/exchange market data solution. Must have experience in developing server-side applications. Must have experience developing with TIBCO enterprise messaging middleware, rendezvous (RV). Must have experience with Unix/Linux operating system and shell scripting. Must have experience with Inversion of Control/Dependency Injection framework, Spring. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
