Site Reliability Software Engineer
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will help build ameaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to developcreative engineering solutions to operations problems. Much of our support andsoftware development focuses on optimizing existing systems, buildinginfrastructure and reducing work through automation. You'll join a team ofcurious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking bigand taking risks. In this environment you'll take the lead on relevant projects,supported by an organization that provides the support and mentorship you needto learn and grow. As an SRE you'll be focused on running better productionapplications and systems.

Joining our team as a Site Reliability Software Engineer in Core Credit Risk Technology, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing solutions in an energetic and fast-paced environment. Likewise, strong object-oriented design skills and strong analytical capabilities are required. Knowledge of distributed computing infrastructures is highly desirable. Our projects are part of the larger re-engineering and regulatory agenda including redesign of our current platforms, technology upgrade, and OCC assigned projects making it an exciting time to join our team!


  • Design, code, test and deliver software to automatemanual operational work
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitateblameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
  • Engage with development team throughout the lifecycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimalrefactoring or changes
  • Identify application patterns and analytics insupport of better service level objectives
  • Design self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Design automated software and product upgrades,change management, and release management solutions
  • Coach or manage teams as applicable
  • Participate in the 24x7 support coverage asneeded


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in asoftware engineering discipline
  • Expertise in at least one technology stackdesigning, coding, testing, and delivering software
  • Proficiency in one or more technology domains,may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission criticalproblems within a business or across the firm
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure components.(E.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products , container systems , compute,storage and networks)
  • Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
  • Expert in performance monitoring and capacitymanagement of large systems using various tools
  • Expert in at least one technology stack(Java/J2EE/C#.NET) with designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
  • Expert in at least one of the relationaldatabase (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
  • Working knowledge of Groovy, Batch scripting,PowerShell or Shell Scripting
  • Experience in performance engineering andmonitoring using tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Apica, Jmeter
  • Very good understanding and demonstrated use ofDevOps tools (Bit bucket, Jenkins, Jules, Automated deployment tools) withContinuous Integration and Continuous Delivery capabilities
