JOB PURPOSE: Drive and lead the upstream digital transformation programs from Data Management and Solutions perspective to enable strategic digital solutions that continuously evolve with the objective to improve operational efficiency. The solutions range from information management, geosciences and engineering solutions, data visualization, data analytics, real time solutions, business process workflows and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Plan and develop Upstream Digital Transformation solutions strategy and business case to deliver next generation solutions to business • Provide expert advisory support on overall GUIM projects, capabilities maturation, competency development to enhance data management department operations and performance. • Closely collaborate with GUIM/ ADNOC Group Company Data Management (DM) teams and business to deliver transformational digital solutions in coordination and collaboration with other stakeholders such as service providers, external consultants and IT as required • Act as program manager for strategic DM architecture foundation and business workflow automation that includes conceptualizing, designing and provisioning upstream business solutions across the upstream value chain • Lead the implementation of data visualization, data analytics and AI capabilities in collaboration with all GUIM teams to derive valuable insights from integrated upstream data with the goal to maximize value of information • Lead the ADNOC Upstream Data Architecture and Data Hub strategy and the evolution of Data and Analytics that delivers integrated information from a variety of data sources for various upstream projects including Digital Oil Field and real time data architecture • Advise on GUIM services to achieve the business objective • Research, identify and create awareness of innovative solutions in the market, that could potentially assist, improve user productivity and business value to the Upstream Information Management • Identify, evaluate, develop proof of concept and advise on the digital upstream solutions in collaboration with business. • Identify gaps and proposed solutions to enhance the information Management process of information collection, preservation, and transmitting process across upstream information lifecycle through next generation information management solutions • provide advice and guidance in enabling users to search and access technical data (structured and unstructured data), improve knowledge discovery and knowledge extraction across the enterprise • Advice on solutions, processes and guidelines for capturing upstream business and technical knowledge across the ADNOC Group • Act as an UIM focal point for business alignment on all GUIM Services, including but not limited to data analytics and AI initiatives of different Upstream business
Generic Accountabilities
Supervision • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets • Provide input for preparation of the Function/Division/Department/Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives. • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures • Implement approved Function/Division/Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/Division/Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement • Identify and advise on new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports Provide inputs to prepare Function/Division/Department/Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification • Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences or in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or equivalent. Masters is preferred
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills • Minimum 12 years of experience in the Upstream Information Management and Petrotechnical Solutions • Certified Project Management professional • Expert in conceptualization, design and implementation of upstream information management and technical solutions for upstream business community • Good knowledge of industry leading upstream databases, petro technical applications in a multi-vendor and multidisciplinary environment ADNOC Classification: Internal • Expertise in upstream data analysis and implementing visualization and data analytics solutions • Expertise in developing upstream business process and automation • Published technical papers related to upstream IM and solutions in leading oil and gas journals and conferences such as SPE • Good oral and written communication skills.
