3. JOB PURPOSE:
Identifies automation opportunities using real-time data by integrating IT and OT networks to improve work process or with HSE benefits, prepares business cases supported by the key stakeholders and guides the implementation those solutions. Some of the solutions will be based on the utilization of real-time infrastructure (i.e. OSI PI, PHD etc.). This role will be key to the interfaces between IT (real-time infrastructure) and OT team at sites to establish secure connection in compliance with existing secure network for continuous data collection in real-time. 4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities Review technical and engineering scope of works to ensure Digital Oilfields requirements are incorporated in the scope. Advice stakeholders on the potential of utilizing Digital Oilfields technologies to address and improve the business Understand the offshore operational activities in ADNOC offshore Brownfield and Green field sites and advise on the best practices on integration field control systems such as ABB, Honeywell, Schneider and Yokogawa, Emersion etc. Understands ADNOC offshore real-time infrastructure which comprises OSI PI and PHD systems, its role in supporting the different engineering disciplines and operations at HQ office. liaises with Instrument Control, Instrument & Control Engineering Team to incorporate digital field requirements from initial stages of the project. Works with site and HQ end users in the assets and Control, Instrument & Control Engineering Team and identifies areas of potential improvement, both through deeper application of existing tools, potential use of new tools. Works with different engineering business disciplines (Reservoirs, production, maintenance team etc.), in the development and support for high level applications platform for reservoir optimization and well surveillance monitoring supports the tendering and implementation process. Promotes the vision of the Digital Oilfield as an approach to improve reservoir recovery, safe and efficient operation in the Company. Advise & develop analytics using real-time data to detect anomalies and send notifications to concerned teams. Liaises with different engineering disciples to develop a navigation hierarchy for search of data easily and develop a dashboards using existing real-time infrastructure tools as per user requirements. Responsible for daily monitoring of data flow from site and liaises with site computer engineer to troubleshoot in case of any interruptions. Perform data historian data management activity works with concerned users to maintain consistent and up-todate tags, calculations, asset model and user screens. Uses hands on approach with users to enhance data value through system tools and data modelling. Monitors data quality, performs daily management and operations of productions real-time data historian and coordinates with IT to perform system maintenance, monitoring, backup and retrieval as necessary Provides necessary supports, respond to user questions and problems and troubleshooting issues. Co-ordinates with peers in ADNOC group companies for knowledge sharing and best practices adoption and implementation. Provides on the job training for juniors on all aspects of Real time applications and systems. Works closely with vendor's technical staff, system engineers and ITD for resolution of abnormal problems and various technical issues. Generic Accountabilities
Supervision Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives. Budgets Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives. Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards. Performance Management Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices. Reports Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management. 5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Frequent contact with Manager and team members, real-time data business users to gather functional requirements to enhance application functionality or address if issues related to real-time data and it suite of products. Frequent contacts with other ADNOC Group. External Frequent contacts with vendors on need basis to evaluate solution/product offerings. Frequent contacts with external Companies. 6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills 5-6 years of experience in OT & IT integration with hands-on experience with real-time data acquisitions interfaces using PI system suite of products and configuration of PI system products. The knowledge and working on experience on the following products is a minimum required. Configuration & administration of PI Data Archive, PI AF and PI Vison, PI datalink, PI Process book, Honeywell PHD etc. Configuration & administration of PI interfaces (PI2PI, PI OPC DA/HDA, PI RDBMS, PI UFL Matrikon Tunneller etc) Knowledge on database concepts and working experience of PL/SQL scripting.
