Responsibilities:
• Lead the Accounting Department staff and financial functions
• Prepare the company's financial statements and monthly management reports
• Coordinate the year-end audit schedule and deliverables with the external auditor
• Manage and supervise the activities of all the accounting department's staff
• Oversee the month-end closing and year-end closing processes
• Champion transformation initiatives for the overall Finance function
• Responsible for tax planning, reporting, filing and interactions with relevant tax authorities
• Evaluate departmental performance and make adjustments to daily operations
• Provide training, guidance, and direction to employees
• Prepare and provide financial statements, activity reports, analysis, and other reports
• Work closely with the Financial Planning and Treasury departments
• Stay informed of IFRS standards and lead the Group's learning and application of these standards
Requirements:
• 10+ years of controlling and/or accounting experiences within and/or outside GCC
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, MBA preferred
• CPA or CA qualified, including continuing professional development and learning
• Must have Group Consolidation experience
• Previous experience in an institutional investor, family office, large holding/ Conglomerate is preferable
• Strong collaborator, committed to building a company for the long term and to creating a legacy
• Experience in building and sustaining a 'high-performance' culture designed to drive continuous improvement for the business and the Finance team
• Must have successfully implemented technology within finance
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Advanced computer skills especially EXCEL
• Fluency in English a must with high level of written and oral communication skills
• Arabic speaking would be a plus
