The role of the Marketing & Corporate Communications function is provide quality corporate communications services including Brand Management, Marketing and Media. The role of the Head of Marketing is to develop and work closely with corporate Communications activities including Marketing, Public Relations (PR) & Media, and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiatives in addition to conducting Marketing activities from brand management, event management, website management, Marketing research and advertisement management perspectives aligned with activities as defined in the Corporate Communication Strategy and directed by The Abu Dhabi Global Market.

 

Job Responsibilities

Organisation set up responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Marketing Strategy in accordance with the wider AD Global Market strategy
  • Facilitate the visioning, development and implementation of The Global Market’s values and culture which will create a shared mind-set amongst employees to achieve corporate goals
  • Lead the development and implementation of an appropriate Marketing organisation architecture and structure that supports The AD Global Market’s strategic aims
  • Lead the recruitment for outstanding roles in the Marketing  team
  • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of world class Marketing policies and procedures

 

Strategic responsibilities

  • Direct planning and delivery of Marketing activities from brand management, event management, website management, Marketing research and advertisement management perspectives in marketing for The AD Global Market, working with the business to identify and prioritise requirements
  • Plan and establish long term and short term goals, objectives and programs for the Marketing function, based on the vision, mission, and overall guidelines provided by the COO and The Executive Committee.
  • Build strong internal stakeholder relationships to deliver Communications activities that support the business requirements
  • Review, develop, and implement policies, processes, procedures, and tools for internal and external Marketing activities to apply across The AD Global Market, and follow up on the implementation of these set policies and procedures

Operational responsibilities

  • Develop and recommend marketing strategies and supporting guidelines for The AD Global Market to enhance its role and image (e.g. key messages, target audiences, communications channels, etc)
  • Oversee the development of promotional materials and organising marketing campaigns for The AD Global Market in order to increase awareness in the market of The Global Market’s portfolio
  • Lead development and continuous improvement of key marketing processes (e.g. marketing planning, execution and evaluation, and marketing communication budgeting)
  • Oversee the handling of all marketing activities including  local and international sponsorships, promotional activities, in addition to handling The AD Global Market’s Corporate Identity (CI) and ensuring its effective implementation
  • Oversee periodic communication releases (if any), media relations and related communications and other related articles and press-releases
  • Review and approve internal and external corporate communications policies and procedures
  • Organise internal Marketing platforms
  • Oversee relationships with press & media contacts, marketing agencies and clients; represent The Global Market at related events
  • Manage outsourced or external services provider to ensure delivery within agreed SLAs and KPIs (eg. Marketing research, branding agencies)
  • Lead the creation, production and promotion of corporate visuals and material by working closely with creative, branding and media agencies and other external and internal design professionals to develop high impact, high quality communications pieces that represent The Global Market brand
  • Direct Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by managing the participation in social activities and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders and the community
  • Supervise all New media related activities
  • Supervise management of annual schedule of public events and coordination with external events management service providers
  • Deliver additional tasks that may be delegated or assigned from the COO and the Executive Committee of ADGM
  • Manage the budget for marketing function.
