Job Specific Accountabilities
• Formulatetion of development concepts for Field Development Plan leading to robust concept decision to ensure the delivery of mandates as per ADNOC's 2030 Strategy • Identify & pursue opportunities to optimize utilization or de-bottleneck existing assets as appropriate. • Conduct Economic screening calculations including life cycle economic review, to support option selection and identify value addition. • Ensure that Upstream development concepts and plans are aligned to the needs of the Downstream projects. • Prepare Concept Selection Report to document the concept selection with cost and execution strategy, as appropriate • Pursue new technology opportunities to enhance Operation, Production and Facilities process and activities • Ensure consistent integration of Upstream Oil & Gas Master Plan and define resultant strategy for integrating medium and long term exploration, unconventional, undeveloped and proven reservoir requirements with facilities development • Initiate and lead the concept studies as necessary to be carried out by the consultants or OPCOs and SPC companies; correlates result and interprets findings in terms of action and decision as required • Provide technical/governance supports to the major projects by reviewing and analyzing the Decision Support Package (DSPs) submitted by OPCOs and SPC Companies and prepare appropriate recommendations in conformity with ADNOC's interest and guidelines • Identify investment opportunities & areas of potential cost optimization and develop plans and programs to ensure capital efficiency and profitability • Conduct necessary studies to ensure a sustainable economic supply of gas for the UAE's growing demand including full alignment with all stakeholders (Upstream Units/Downstream Units and Group Companies) • Provides technical input to TCM and Sub Committee Meetings and advises on Concept Selection/ Design issues
Supervision • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective team objectives. Budgets • Provide input for preparation of the Function / Department / Team budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver Team objectives. • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures • Implement approved Function/ Department/ Team policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards. Performance Management • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Unit/ Department/ Team in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices. Reports • Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or equivalent from a recognized institution
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• Minimum 20 9 years experience in the oil and gas industry in concept definition and process design roles • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams. • Experience in working independently on onshore/offshore upstream Oil & Gas projects • Experience with competitive scoping, value engineering, Lean or comparable practices. • Strong team player with corresponding inter-personal skills. • Effective communications skills
