Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

To assist in discharging duties related to cost management of the enablement functions and business units:

• Provide monthly financial reports to Support Divisions with detailed variance analysis and focus on cost analysis etc..,

• Owner of the end-to-end Cost Allocation process for the Group.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Supervision

• Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in a timely and efficient manner

• Promote the organisation's core values and ethics in all activities within the team & wider organization to support the establishment of a value driven culture within the bank.

Budgeting and Financial Performance

• Monitor & overview Cost Allocation financial performance of a given area of activity versus budget and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while reporting on any variances to management.

• Identify risks & opportunities & advise management on measures to facilitate further decision making.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedures for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality & cost-effective service.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

• Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet Business and/or department requirements, policies and quality standards.

• To Manage the end to end Cost Allocation process for the group

Job Specific Accountabilities

Month End, Reporting and Cost Allocations

• Manage the month end Cost Allocation Process for FAB UAE Enablement functions

• Preparation and development of the monthly MI reports for the enablement functions cost allocations and handle reporting issues for the same.

• Provide analysis of re Enablement functions cost allocations actuals etc. to relevant stakeholders as well as identifying actions for corrective measures.

• Implementing various reports at the request of stakeholders.

• Analysis of the cost allocation charges and providing adjustments where necessary

• Assist in the Budget process for enablement functions cost allocations and in setting up the budget templates.

FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

• Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks.

• Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Experience

• Must have Bachelor's degree.

• Required: - Professional qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA etc) or Masters level qualification

Minimum Experience

• 15+ years' relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 10 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Finance function.

• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and motivate a team of Finance professionals.

• Experience in leading a team and working with senior/ management stakeholders on a daily basis

• Ability to respond to and resolve issues & needs within team as well as business stakeholders

• Must be detail-oriented but not lose sight of the 'big picture'. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure while delivering high quality results is crucial
