Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading Utilities company based in Al Ain. Due to a reorganisation they are looking to recruit a Planning & Performance Management Lead.


The Role
Reporting to the CFO your role will be to drive the planning, budgeting and performance reporting exercises throughout the finance transformation and beyond
Key Responsibilities
* Generate a five year strategic plan, mapping out company's opportunities for growth, cost efficiencies and investment, where and if applicable
* Translate the strategic plan into actionable targets / objectives
* Oversee coordination efforts with individual departments to prepare timely budgets and consolidate them into one overall budget for the company
* Generate and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of the company's future operations
* Design a performance management framework to consistently assess company's financial health
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of performance, using analytics
* Manage the periodic reporting process and facilitate performance accountability
* Judge variances between budgets and forecasts and propose corrective actions going forward
* Oversee the preparation of ad-hoc internal reports for the leadership and support their decision-making
* Support the financial / risk impact analysis
* Coordinate all finance functions to provide a single interface for customer / business colleagues
* Effectively manage and develop a team of financial analysts and other stakeholders as required
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Finance team to develop the Planning & Performance Management function into a sector leading high performing function


The Candidate
* A minimum of being a postgraduate (preferably M.B.A., C.P.A, C.M.A. or C.F.A.)
* Strong analytical and business skills, with the ability to think strategically and to manage details
* Advanced knowledge of financial / operational models (forward and backward looking) and performance management metrics / techniques
* Strong interpersonal, communication, decision making and leadership skills
* Key Experience (e.g. sector, region):
* 5+ years of experience in the Energy sector in a team leading role, involving strategy work, analysis, consulting, business development, stakeholder management and performance monitoring, preferably within the Middle East
* Experience of working with teams in international settings


Salary and Benefits
50,000 - 55,000aed per month plus Benefits
