Key responsibilities

  • 100% sales, client and relationship support
  • Geographic: Southern Africa & Opportunistically Africa ex SA
  • Client Segment covered: Institutional and Wholesale

Main tasks

  • Provide sales, account management and client relationship support to the Africa team to enable the sales team to achieve their revenue targets
  • Sales support responsibilities continue to include coordination and delivery of RFP/RFIs, presentations and other adhoc client requests. This includes first drafts of RFPs when required
  • Provide integrated support to the sales team in their responsibility of strengthening their client relationships, creating cross sell opportunities with existing clients, and in developing new business opportunities
  • Act as a key support to the Sales team by answering external client queries in an efficient and proactive manner
  • Serve as resource to Sales and Relationship management by completing various projects, produce and interpret competitor analysis reports and attribution reports; communicate any enhancements/changes to any and all institutional presentations
  • Participate in both internal and external sales calls
  • Keep up to date on the full range of strategies and capabilities, including new products and product modifications
  • Serve as a point of contact with Head Office departments (RFP TEAM, Client Services, Operations, etc.)
  • Demonstrate understanding and compliance with regulatory and risk requirements and Code of Ethics, including adoption of policies
  • Coordinating Operational Due Diligence (ODD) RFPs as well as ODD visits to Head Office
  • Assist in Client Due Diligence (CDD) process for clients and prospects
  • Coordinate and oversee other special projects as needed and assigned by the Senior Manager


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Preferably have 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience within operations, client services or sales support in asset management is preferred
  • Language skills in English is essential and French is advantageous
  • Good understanding of operations, investments and the investment process and exposure to institutional investors
  • Understanding of performance and risk analytics, including performance attribution
  • Proficient use and understanding of Sales Force systems and competitor databases is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Service oriented and demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Self-starter who is able to work independently and also actively participate in a team environment
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to multitask
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Well versed with Computer applications such as power point, excel, word, outlook
  • The role is based out of the Dubai office. Willingness to relocate to Dubai and be hired on a local contract is a requirement.
