What you'll do

As a Finance Evolution Lead, you'll be accountable for shaping and evolving the strategic direction of Finance Evolution, ensuring it delivers against the bank's long-term priorities and positions Finance for the future. You'll also focus on setting clear outcomes, establishing strategic priorities, and ensuring alignment with the wider enterprise strategy.

Working closely with senior leaders, you'll bring together the operating model, people strategy, and future skills agenda into a coherent, forward-looking vision.

In addition, you'll be:

• Defining and evolving the strategic vision, priorities, and success measures for Finance Strategy
• Setting direction on future skills, including identifying critical "sunrise" capabilities and managing the transition from legacy skills
• Influencing and aligning senior stakeholders across franchises and functions to a common strategic direction
• Ensuring strong linkage between Finance Evolution and broader transformation priorities across the bank
• Guiding investment priorities and strategic business cases, ensuring resources are focused on long-term value
• Building and leading a high-performing team, including overseeing the Finance Skills & Talent Lead, to deliver against the strategic agenda

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with strong experience in shaping and leading strategic transformation agendas, with the ability to operate at both enterprise and functional leadership levels. To succeed in this role, you'll also need to be comfortable setting direction in complex environments, influencing senior stakeholders, and translating business strategy into clear, future-focused priorities for Finance.

In addition, you'll need:

• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to define long-term vision and outcomes in ambiguous environments
• The ability to influence at senior levels and align diverse stakeholders around a common direction
• A deep understanding of how finance functions need to evolve in response to business, technology, and external change
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate a clear and compelling strategic narrative
• Experience in leading teams and developing capability at pace
